Mr. Murch
This is my fourth year teaching orchestra at McCants Middle School now. I grew up here in Anderson and recieved my Bachlors in Music Composition from the University of South Carolina. I play the violin and viola with the GAMAC Orchestra and Anderson Symphony Orchestra.
Since I have a degree in composition, I like to write music for my school orchestras. This has led me to have one of my works published by Alfred Publishing. The piece is called "String Celebration". I wrote this piece for one of my string classes.
When I graduated from college, I thought that my greatest passion was composing, but once I began teaching, I knew that I had a new passion. I think the middle school years are the most impressionable years for any student.
