Bavaria Trip 2009
In 2009, we will take a trip to Bavaria in the lower part of Germany and some of Austria. We still have a lot of planning to do but some of the trip highlights are listed below.
We will arrive in Munich, Germany and travel to the town of Fussen where we will visit Neuschwanstein Castle. It is the castle that Disney World's castle was modeled after. King Ludwig II lived there until he went mad and was dethroned by his parents. We will visit his parents castle as well which is just next to Neuschwanstein Castle.
We will travel to Salzburg, Austria and visit the house where Mozart was born. Then explore the Fortress that sits high above the city of Salzburg where the citizens of Salzburg would go to in times of war to defend themselves.
Then we will travel to Vienna, Austria and visit the many sites there.
